My Hopes For Metroid Prime 4 For Nintendo Switch

My Hopes For Metroid Prime 4 For Nintendo Switch
My Hopes For metroid prime 4 gaming blog

With no new information on the upcoming Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch since it's announcement I've decided to list a few things I would love for the game to have.

1 - Open World
With the massive success of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and it's open world format, I would like Metroid Prime 4 to follow this trend and have an open world were we could go almost anywhere at anytime.

2 - Faster movement
Samus in 3D Metroid games tends to feel slower and heavier than in the 2D Metroid games, I would like this to be improved upon. While moving around tight corridors a slower speed would be better, something like Pokemon's running shoes would be nice to have as well. I know the series has the speed booster powerup but I was hoping for something in between. Now that I think about it, Super Metroid had something like that.

3 - Save Anywhere
Since the Switch has been made to be played anywhere, having a way to save anywhere would be great or have many many more save points in the game so it doesn't take more than 10 minutes to get to a save room.

4 - Zero Suit Samus Mode
I would love to see a sort of second quest like adventure where you use Zero Suit Samus instead of the Power Suit. This second quest would be very similar to the first but even harder and without many power ups than the original quest making the player have to take the long and harder routes to ones destination.

Top 10 Games I want To Get For The Nintendo Switch

If I play my cards right I'll be one month away from getting myself a Nintendo Switch console, so I think I should make a list of the top 10 games I want to get for the Switch. So in no particular order here are

My Top 10 Games I want To Get For The Nintendo Switch

Top 10 Games I want To Get For The Nintendo SwitchMario Kart 8 Deluxe

I already have Mario Kart 8 for the Nintendo Wii U and it's still fun to play that, so Mario Kart 8 Deluxe barely makes the list with it's improved battle mode. I am looking forward to firing shells, collecting coins, and catching my opponent in the new Renegade Roundup.

Top 10 Games I want To Get For The Nintendo SwitchSuper Mario Odyssey

I'll have to wait till later this year, but platformers are one of my go to genres in video games. Mario goes back to a more Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine free roam style of levels in a quest to save Princess Peach from Bowser.

Sonic Forces

Oh hey, we can make our own custom Sonic characters in this one. It's about time Sega let's it's fans use their OCs.
So somehow Dr. Eggman Robotnik has conquered the world, or so the trailers would have us believe. I don't know what's going on so I have to find out.

Sonic Mania

Classic side scrolling Sonic the hedgehog gameplay. I think I just said the reason to get it.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

Every once in awhile I get the need to play a puzzle game, and Puyo Puyo and Tetris are some of the biggest names in that category. For Myself it's more for Tetris and the fact I can take it on the go just sells it for me.

Top 10 Games I want To Get For The Nintendo SwitchSnake Pass

When I saw the trailer for Snake Pass I became interested in how you played it, instead of jumping from platform to platform you had to coil around objects to slither your way through the game. It's like a puzzle platformer where you can't jump, but can climb in a unique way. I have thought of getting it on Steam, but the thought of the portable Nintendo Switch console just makes me want that one instead.

Fast RMX

I've been aware of this series for awhile now and have been meaning to get it at some point. I am a fan of the high paced F-Zero series by Nintendo and this spiritual successor just makes up for the fact Nintendo hasn't made a new one in years.

I Am Setsuna

I actually don't know much about this video game, I needed a tenth game for the list and I thought a JRPG would help make the list more well rounded. I also wanted to play an JRPG as I haven't played one in a long time other than Pokemon.

ARMS

I'm not one for fighting games, but sometimes I find a series I like (example Super Smash Bros), so I wanted to give the new Nintendo IP ARMS a try.

Splatoon 2

I enjoyed the first one whenever I got around to playing it, like the last game I'm not the biggest fan of shooters, but I play me some Splatoon 2.

My Idea Could Double The Nintendo Switch's Power

So my idea that could double the power of the Nintendo Switch ( and might make it able to do 4K at a really good frame rate ). Is actually quite simple. If Nintendo made a special docking station that lets you put two Switch's in and it then uses both of them together to improve performace.

It does sound simple and would be a great feature. Even if you don't by two Nintendo Switch consoles you could still use it by combining yours with a friend.

My Thoughts On The Classic NES Mini

NES Classic NES Mini

Nintendo has recently released a new mini console called the NES Mini that has 30 classic built in Nintendo games. The thing goes for about $60 Dollars in the USA and has been selling out faster than Sonic the Hedgehog can run.

Now I have to say I have not tried it. I do know a few things about it, and seen and read a few reviews, but this isn't a review, it's my thoughts.

I do actually like the NES Mini especially since the games look great on it. The games are better than they look on the virtual console, Nintendo really went that extra bit to make sure the games look and played just like the good old days.

However, one thing keeps me from going out to buy one.

The NES Mini does not allow the use of external cartridges, so you can't play your own NES game. Other than that the NES Mini is perfect in every way, I would still keep one if it was given to me as a gift and I would love it, but for me. I just don't need to buy one.

Live Action Pokemon Movie - Gaming Thoughts

Live Action Pokemon Movie - Gaming Thoughts

Recent rumors have popped up recently of Nintendo wanting to make a live action Pokemon movie and apparently 3 companies are making bids to get this project. So I'm going to give you my thoughts on this.

I for one am not a big movie goer, I actually prefer televised episodic series cause those can go much more into the story because they are not as limited in how long they can be. I also prefer animated series over live action as well.

As for the story I have no idea what they could do other than something like Pokemon Origins as getting a whole Pokemon adventure into one movie would be difficult do to the length, but perhaps if they instead did something similar to the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series and just brought someone to a world of Pokemon to save it.

Even though the movie is to be live action the Pokemon would still have to be animated in some way, they will probably look close to what they looked like in Pokken Tournament. If this is the case I guess it would be okay but I just don't really think this movie really needs to be made. I might re think this once I get more information on this but for now I'm not that interested.

My Zelda Wii U Map Analysis

I know people have already done map analysis of the Zelda Wii U map ages ago but I wanted to give you guys my own which I actually did months ago and just forgot about.

While doing my analysis I noticed that the map is similar to that of the Ocarina Of Time and Twilight Princess maps as well as some others.

Zora's Domain

This place is not only the home of the Zora's but also the source of most of Hyrule's water. I've seen some people put it on Snow Peak or up by Death Mountain, but in both OOT and TP Zora's Domain was at neither of these locations and actually between the 2 mountains as you actually go quite away from those mountains in those video games.

I also took notice in the Other Zelda games that the rivers from Zora's Domain actually go underground at some points and that the entire river cannot be seen from above. You see this in Twilight Princess and not so much in Ocarina of Time but Zora's Domain was underground.

Death Mountain

This place has always been to the northeast areas of the games  and more east in OOT and TP (Wii version was mirrored). We can even see some lava rivers and even Death Mountain Crater on the map.

Kokiri Forest / Faron Province

This my come up as a shock but while I was analyzing the map and comparing it to the other game, I realized that Kokiri Forest and Faron Province are in the exact same location (although it's more like a theory). I think maybe after the Deku Tree died in OOT the Hylians went to help out the Kokiri's since they didn't have a guardian, although this could of ended up preventing the Deku Tree Sprout from growing and the Kokiri's being wiped out be Twilight Princess. It's not like Humans of are world haven't made that mistake before.

5 Things To Add To Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon

things to add to the pokemon series
For the past few generations I've felt that the Pokemon games have been a little stale and just a repeat of what's already established. I've been wanting something to make it more interesting to pull me back into the series like I used to be. Well here are 5 Things To Add To Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

If Pokemon Could Have 3 Types - Part 1 - Changing The Meta Game

I'm sure most of us have thought what it would be like if Pokemon could have up to 3 types instead of maxing out at 2. Some Pokemon could definitely benefit from it, but would it break the meta game? The answer is yes, but is that a bad thing?

What Changes Would Have To Happen To Get This In?

Right now type advantages is currently set to double the damage for each type the attack type is effective against and halved for ineffective types. Using an attack that is also the same type as the Pokemon using it also gets it doubled in power. Because of this the max damage can be at most 8x the original amount. If you add a third type to it the max damage would be 16x the amount and that is definitely a problem.

To get Pokemon with three types into the game we would have to change this. Here is what I suggest.

Pokemon the same type as attack - 2x
Pokemon type weak against attack - 2x
second type advantage gets an additional - 1.5x
Third type advantage gets an additional - 1.5x
- Together this makes 9x the damage
- This also bring down the normal effective against two types down to a x6

After that if the Pokemon has a resistance then the damage - 0.5x
Then for an additional resistance the damage is then cut an additional - 0.5x
If all the Pokemon types are resistant to the attack type then the Pokemon is completely unaffected by the attack.
- I decided it would be fair to give immunity to Pokemon that had three types over the attacking type.

So mostly the resistance didn't change much except for the possible immunity.

The Good , Bad, And Worst Things In Sonic Boom Rise Of Lyric

You may have noticed I have been playing a lot of Sonic Boom Rise Of Lyric on my Youtube Channel. Even though I say it's a bad game, when I think about it, how bad is it? Could it actually be good? I tend to be easily influenced by the opinion of others, but how is the game to me?

Let's take a closer look at Sonic Boom Rise Of Lyric.

Zelda Theory Majora's Mask In The Other Timelines

It has been some time since the official Nintendo The Legend Of Zelda timeline has been revealed, but the timeline doesn't reveal everything. It tells you when in the timeline the games take place but not the events between them. In this theory I'm gonna reveal how Ganon was released by Majora's Mask in the adult timeline which caused the world to be flooded.

Top 5 Predictions For Nintendo Direct March 3rd

nintendo direct predictions
So Nintendo has announced another Nintendo Direct for March 3rd 2016, only 6 days after the Pokemon Direct. The Pokemon Direct was so short and only revealed that the next generation of Pokemon games were coming later this year it makes me wonder why they weren't just added to this Direct?

Anyways the upcoming Nintendo Direct will become available here; http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/03-03-2016/

From what I hear about the upcoming Direct it will focus on games that will be coming out for Wii U and 3DS, so with that in mind here is a list of predictions for the Direct.

#1
More information on Star Fox Zero

#2
A quick look at;
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD

Pokemon Direct Predictions For Febuary 26

Nintendo announced today that a Pokémon Direct broadcast will air at 4pm CET/7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET, Friday 26th (3pm for viewers in the UK) containing the latest on Pokémon games.

To tune in, check out Twitch or the Nintendo Direct website at 16:00 CET on 26th February (15:00 UK time), where the broadcast will be streamed.

I also hear that it will be a short 5 minute direct so I don't think it will be the next generation Pokemon games and with the Pokemon anime being in the XY&Z arc I'm pretty sure that's the case.

So here is a quick prediction list for the Pokemon Direct;

#1
A Pokemon Retrospective

I just think Nintendo will take some time to take a quick look at the history of the series since it's also the series 20th anniversary.

#2
A look at Pokken Tournament and Detective Pikachu As well as it's US release date.

#3
Pokemon Z announcement and release date.

It's a short list but those are my predictions.

Super Mario Maker is a great tool for making your very own Mario levels, but it lacks many things that gamers would love to have included. Some of these things you would of thought would of been included already.

3 Nintendo NX Launch Titles I Would Like To Have Happen

3 Nintendo NX Launch Titles I Would Like To Have Happen

A new video game console needs a few great titles at launch in order to start off well, so here are a few titles I would like to see on release day.

Super Mario Galaxy 3

The Super Mario Galaxy games have been some of the best platform games on the Wii, and I would like to see the games make a comeback with a third installment to the series.

Bayonetta 3

With Bayonetta having to highly scored games under it's belt and having won the Smash Ballot, it would only be natural for PlatinumGamesor or any developer to make another game in the series. This reminds me that I still have to finish playing the other two entries on my Youtube channel.

Zelda Wii U

Yes the upcoming Wii U Zelda game should pull a Twilight Princess and be released for the Nintendo NX as well. With the release being so close to the launch of the NX I think it would be a great idea that would bring more people to the next console while letting others transfer when they are ready.
Read my full article about it here.

Could Zelda Wii U Be For The Nintendo NX? (Chibi Gaming Thoughts)

Could Zelda Wii U Be For The Nintendo NX?will zelda wii u be on the nintendo nx

Recently I posted an article that the Nintendo NX could be a 4K console (you can read it here), but what could this mean for the upcoming Zelda Wii U? Nintendo definitly wants to make thier games look the best but the Wii U is still only 1080p HD, and if my prediction is right then the NX would be 4K.

Will The Nintendo NX Be 4K? Is 4K Home Video Game Systems Possible?

With Nintendo's next console on the horizon (if the Nintendo NX is a home console), would it be capable of 4K gaming? Well I can't build a home console but I can build a PC equivalent so that is what I did. Please keep in mind that this is a PC equivalent and not an actual video game console.

To build it I looked up part on the website Newegg.com, but also keep in mind the parts I list will be at retail price and Nintendo would actually buy them at wholesale price and I have to keep in mind that a profit need to be made from this as well. Finally the core parts will have to be modified to make a more dedicated system than a PC is otherwise I would not be able to get the full power of the parts.

Let's start off with the core components of the home console.

$69.99 AMD Athlon X4 860K Kaveri Quad-Core 3.7 GHz Desktop Processor
$34.99 (after rebate) MSI GeForce GT 720, 1GB 64-Bit Graphics Card
$32.99 Klevv Fit 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
$49.99 MSI A68HM-E33 V2 FM2+ AMD A68H 4 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
$19.95 Seagate DB35 Series 7200.3 ST3320820SCE 320GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Desktop Hard Drive
$10.08 LOGISYS Computer PS480D 480W ATX12V Power Supply
$17.99 (after rebate) XION Gaming Series XON-310_BK MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Next I'll list other important parts but these one are not as specifice as above as they can be more easily switch with other parts.
$5 HDMI 4K
$16.19 PCI 8 Channel 8CH 7.1 Sound Card

Other parts
$7 for a cartridge reader, this is the estimated cost I came up with based on the price of internal SD card readers. I went for a card reader instead of a disk drive because of the possible leak that the device won't have a disk drive.
$50 for one controller, either a Wii Motion Plus with Nunchuk or a Classic Controller.

This brings us to an amount of $314.17

You may have noticed that I didn't list an operating system, well since this is not for an actual PC it will not need the programs of such. Also I have no way of knowing just how much an operating system for a PC would be but I think it would be much less since video game consoles are dedicated systems and do not require the ability of a PC.

Next we got to figure out what we are going to sell are console at, and to do this I will look at the Wii U and 3DS. Keep in mind that these are estimates I found online.
$228 To build a Wii U selling at $299 https://filmgamesetc.com/2013/03/how-much-does-each-wii-u-console-cost-nintendo/
$101 To build a 3DS selling at #249 http://kotaku.com/5785605/so-how-much-does-it-cost-to-make-a-nintendo-3ds
So we are looking at an additional $70 to $150

Estimated retail total comes to $384 to $460

I must say again that the parts I listed are priced at retail and not whole sale that Nintendo would buy the parts at. So the price will be much less then what I just put down. So let's just do an estimate of $10 off most of the parts and say that comes to about $60 to $100 off the above total retail price.

This brings us to a final estimated cost for a 4K Nintendo console at retail to cost between
$284 to $400

Finally, for a PC the 4K Gaming may not work so well. I think it wouldn't even be possible to get a smooth 30fps on a PC. However a video game console is a more dedicated system which will allow the full use of the parts for gaming. With this in mind I believe a smooth 30fps would be easy, but 60fps is another story. Also I do not know how the games would look, how many particles it could render at once, how many polygons, how many physics it could handle. This is the stuff that I can not say.
