Smash Direct List What I got Right and Wrong - What Do I Think About It

Last time I made a list of what I thought and hoped we see in the recent Super Smash Bros Direct, let's see what I got right and wrong
Smash Direct List What I got Right and Wrong - What Do I Think About It

Skull Kid as playable fighter

A lot of people thought that Skull Kid From Zelda Majora's Mask was going to be playable in the upcoming Super Smash Bros Ultimate. We thought this as we thought we cracked the Sakuri Code, but it looks like we were wrong.

Shadow the Hedgehog as echo for Sonic

With echos now being a thing we thought of what characters could have easy echos, and it was quite simple, just choose a already implemented fighter and then find another character who is practically the same in body and method of combat, and boom a echo is found. While I could only find a few echos (it's harder than you think when you keep the echo rules in mind), but Shadow was one that would fit perfectly, biggest change would be run animation.

Stage Creator with more things to use than before and with themes based on the fighters instead of generic themes

This was a disappointment to me as I love thinking and creating my own levels, I'm still holding out for some sort of stage creator for the game.

Online Demo similar to what Splatoon did before release

Well this worked for Splatoon

Return of Smash Run with online play
My favorite addition from Smash 4 was a no show at the direct, although it seems that the pieces required for it are still their.

 What I got right;

Online details
It was pretty much required for them to talk about the online mode in this direct so it was an easy pick for the list.

Details of the unknown mode believed to be called spirits at this time
It was pretty much required for them to talk about the online mode in this direct so it was an easy pick for the list.

Another new fighter to bring the roster up to an even 70 fighters not including echos
I felt Nintendo would want to avoid the number 69 so having one more newcomer non echo was required, at the time of the listings I forgot about putting down the Pokemon rep which I would of said Incineroar as I saw a lot of potential for move he could do in the game far more than Decidueye.

What Do I expect to see at Nintendo's E3 Showcase

Nintendo has toned down on the whole E3 thing since they started doing Nintendo Directs so this one won't be any different, but that doesn't mean they won't have things to show off. This is a quick list of what I expect Nintendo to bring to the show, so in no particular order, lets begin.

I think the big four will be:
Super Mario Odyssey
Arms
Splatoon 2
Zelda Breath of the Wild DLC
All of which will get a new trailer and be playable on the show floor. The trailers will reveal more about the games and new stages.

Other notible entries will be:
Pokken Tournament DX
Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon

I also think they will reveal a new game:
2.5D Metroid for 3DS
3D Metroid for Switch (not a Metroid Prime 4 but people will still subtitle it as such)
The reason for a 3D Metroid on Switch would be to give the Switch a good variety of games as I don't think it really has a big shooter right now, however since I'm not big on FPS games I'll be more excited bout the 2.5D Metroid on 3DS.

Recap On The Recent Pokemon Direct

So Nintendo and the Pokemon Company recently had a Direct video where they revealed some new Pokemon games coming out for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch.

Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver are set to be re released on the Nintendo Virtual Console for the Nintendo 3DS, unfortunately Crystal has not been included in this. I remembered playing my copy of Pokemon Gold back when I was a kid, whenever I remembered to, I would go to the Pokemon Bug Catching mini game. It was like a more interesting version of the Safari Zone and I loved it not for the reward but for the game itself.

Pokken Tournament DX is a new version of the Wii U version with added characters. The likely re release of this game could probably be to try and give it another chance at life as games on the Wii U did have some challenges.

Pokemon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon, looks like Pokemon Stars isn't happening.

Top 5 Predictions For Nintendo Direct March 3rd

nintendo direct predictions
So Nintendo has announced another Nintendo Direct for March 3rd 2016, only 6 days after the Pokemon Direct. The Pokemon Direct was so short and only revealed that the next generation of Pokemon games were coming later this year it makes me wonder why they weren't just added to this Direct?

Anyways the upcoming Nintendo Direct will become available here; http://www.nintendo.com/nintendo-direct/03-03-2016/

From what I hear about the upcoming Direct it will focus on games that will be coming out for Wii U and 3DS, so with that in mind here is a list of predictions for the Direct.

Pokemon Direct Predictions For Febuary 26

Nintendo announced today that a Pokémon Direct broadcast will air at 4pm CET/7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET, Friday 26th (3pm for viewers in the UK) containing the latest on Pokémon games.

To tune in, check out Twitch or the Nintendo Direct website at 16:00 CET on 26th February (15:00 UK time), where the broadcast will be streamed.

I also hear that it will be a short 5 minute direct so I don't think it will be the next generation Pokemon games and with the Pokemon anime being in the XY&Z arc I'm pretty sure that's the case.

So here is a quick prediction list for the Pokemon Direct;

#1
A Pokemon Retrospective

I just think Nintendo will take some time to take a quick look at the history of the series since it's also the series 20th anniversary.

#2
A look at Pokken Tournament and Detective Pikachu As well as it's US release date.

#3
Pokemon Z announcement and release date.

It's a short list but those are my predictions.
